Honouring Motherhood For What It Is
There is no initiation quite like that of Motherhood. For many of us it will be the single most important act we offer to life while we are on this earth. In the sacred moments from conception to birth and far beyond, we are irrevocably transformed as women as the miracle of creation unfolds from deep within. Motherhood asks us for total surrender to a deeply spiritual process: we become the vessels for new life, we lose all control, we are excavated in our deepest core to hold space for new life to grow. In this powerful galvanisation we crystallise as women, partners, wives and sisters as diamonds from the mantle: devoted warrioresses with the world in our arms.
We know that the path of love that parenting sets us upon can be one of the most joyous, expansive and heart-opening experiences a human can have. At other moments, it can seem exhausting, overwhelming, emotional and lonely in the patriarchal and individualistic society in which many modern Western mothers find themselves. Support can feel elusive, while birth trauma and pre- and post-partum complications can leave us suddenly disembodied and out of true touch with our spirit, intuition and trust. And as we settle into the role, the shifting balance of our days and relationships can also leave us feeling disoriented. The Maiden is being let go of, and a new archetype and lineage are calling.
If we are surrounded by people and a culture that allows us space to unravel and rebuild anew, and that supports us in navigating this enormous rebirth of ourselves as a spiritual experience, we can experience profound personal and collective healing. In this journey we reclaim Motherhood as a deeply noble and valuable path - no more “I am just a mother.” We create space for the woman we are becoming to take root, and come back to the earth and Gaia as our collective mother at a time when she so desperately needs us.
Maturing as Mother
Over time, as we drop deeper into this path of mother and flow into the day to day role of holding space and family, we have the possibility to work with our mothering as a profound odyssey into the rich teachings revealed through anchoring presence within the throes of mundane daily life.
As our children grow and transform and reach into the newness of their experience of reality, we too can reclaim that innocence and curiosity, embracing the lifelong experience of growth that emerges as we consciously embody the fullness of being Mother.
Whether we have a new baby, a toddler, a young child or a teenager, the teachings of mothering that arise every single day invite us to expand and rise beyond our limiting frames of reality, opening us to a potent process of personal evolution and healing.
The teachings are profound and deeply sacred if we allow ourselves to be taken fully by the journey in all its challenging intensity, supported, heard and witnessed in sacred sisterhood and held by each other and the wisdom of all those who came before us. And as we learn to give back to ourselves and open up to once again receive, we find new energy and flow in our daily lives.

About The Course
Who is this for? For any mother of any path, it is designed to be taken from postpartum onwards, speaking to all seasons of motherhood.
What is the time commitment? We know that no one is busy like a mother is. This course has been designed to be completed within an eight week inner dive and the live online circles will be held within this period, however it also allows you to journey at entirely your own pace, carving out moments when you can to simply return to yourself. You will have access to the course content for four months.
Are there live circles? Yes: we will hold two live circles to gather in sacred online space and deepen our experience together. The dates are May 10, 8-9:30pm and June 6, 10-11:30am, UK time. These will also be recorded for those who cannot join live.
What if I feel I need extra support during this journey? Adya and Xochi both have extensive experience supporting women and mothers one-to-one; if you would like to work more closely you’re welcome to contact us about private sessions alongside the course material.
